Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of ALTAMONT MARTIAL ARTS TAE KWON DO, HAPKIDO, WORLD HAIDONG GUMDO's instructors and other staff members, starting with Robert Traina:

Robert Traina  (Master Instructor)  Master Robert Traina has been active in the Martial Arts since he was 14 years old giving him over 25 years of Martial Arts experience. Master Traina holds the rank of Master in the Korean Arts; 6th Dan in ITF TaeKwonDo, 5th Dan in Hapkido, and a Black Belt in Haidong Gumdo (The way of the sword). He has been inducted into The World Wide Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2002 as Instructor of the year, and both The World Wide Martial Arts Hall of Fame and Action Martial Arts Magazine's Hall of Fame in 2003 for Master Instructor and School Owner of the Year.

Catherine Traina  (Office Director, 2nd Degree Hapkido, Purple In Gumdo, Program Director)  Catherine Traina is Co owner with Master Traina. Catherine will be teaching Hapkido and Haidong Gumdo. Catherine has competed in the --Northeast Open 2007 first place adult weapons 2008 second place adult weapons -- friendship tournament 2009 first place adult color belt weapon division 2009 grand champion in color belt weapons divison
